Highland Consulting Group invites applications for a Commercial Underwriting Team Lead to guide a team of credit analysts across the bank's footprint in PA and NY. The role blends leadership with hands-on underwriting and ongoing credit analysis to drive solid lending decisions.

You will coach analysts, review credit work for quality, and collaborate with Commercial Lenders to structure financing that meets risk standards.

Qualifications

• Experience leading underwriting teams in commercial credit.
• Strong credit judgment and mentoring skills.
• Hands-on underwriting and financial analysis experience.

Responsabilités

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Credit Analysts
• Assign and prioritize work while managing workflow and deadlines
• Review analysts' work for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and credit quality
• Perform and oversee financial analysis of commercial borrowers, guarantors, and related entities
• Analyze financial statements, tax returns, cash flow, collateral, repayment capacity, and other factors affecting credit risk
• Review historical and projected financial performance, including leverage, liquidity, profitability, and debt-service coverage
• Prepare and review credit presentations, annual reviews, renewals, modifications, and other credit documentation
• Work closely with Commercial Lenders to understand credit requests, address underwriting questions, and help structure appropriate financing
• Identify credit weaknesses, emerging risks, policy exceptions, and other issues and communicate them clearly to lenders and Credit Administration
