Arrowhead Intermediaries in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking an Underwriter to join our team. The role involves underwriting new and renewal accounts, evaluating client exposures, and developing sound underwriting decisions in a collaborative environment with Client Services and Claims teams.

Active Indiana Property and Casualty License is required. Bachelor’s degree in insurance & risk management or 2+ years underwriting experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in insurance & risk management or 2+ years underwriting experience.
• Solid understanding of underwriting commercial exposures and insurance coverages.

Responsabilités

• Underwrite standard level of new and renewal accounts in accordance with guidelines and procedures.
• Moderate contribution toward premium and profitability objectives.
• Evaluate client’s exposures (general liability, excess/umbrella, property, auto) ensuring proper assessment.
• Develop and communicate informed underwriting decisions.
• Monitor results to identify trends and developments on assigned accounts.
• Coordinate account servicing with Client Services, Risk Services and Claims Services.
