Commercial Credit Analyst/Underwriter – Hybrid in Columbus, OH

A local community bank is seeking a Commercial Credit Analyst/Underwriter to evaluate and analyze commercial loan applications, ensuring sound credit decisions aligned with the bank’s risk appetite. This role partners with relationship managers and credit officers to structure deals and mitigate risk.

Base pay

Base pay range: $85,000.00/yr - $90,000.00/yr

Key Responsibilities

• Underwrite new and existing commercial credit relationships (term loans, lines of credit, real estate, equipment financing).
• Analyze borrower financials (tax returns, balance sheets, income statements, cash flow).
• Prepare credit memoranda and risk ratings per policy and regulatory standards.
• Use nCino to manage loan origination workflows and documentation.
• Recommend loan structures, covenants, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Support credit committee presentations and periodic loan reviews.

Must-Have Skills

• 2+ years of commercial underwriting experience.
• Commercial real estate underwriting experience.
