Our client, an insurtech that specializes in real estate, is looking for a commercial underwriter for CA. This person will:

• Quote and release new and renewal business that has been either referred from underwriting algorithm or seeking changes that exceed user authority thresholds
• Analyze and approve requested policy changes
• Maintain familiarity and compliance with state insurance regulations and ISO rules for all states within assigned underwriting territory
• Monitor portfolio composition via reports, audits, and inspections

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• 4+ years of underwriting experience
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/experience preferred
• Retail agency relationship preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
