Wilks Tire & Battery Service, Inc. is seeking a Commercial Service Mechanic to join our Wilks Truck Center team for on-site light mechanical and tire service to the Commercial Trucking industry.

You will service commercial trucks, RVs, and trailers, including lube, oil changes, alignments, brakes, and DOT inspections. Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of commercial experience including brake service, oil changes, front end work, and all wheel position alignments.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Have your own tools.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Perform light mechanical maintenance on commercial trucks and trailers including: lube, oil change, filter service.
• Perform alignments and front end suspension work.
• Service brakes and air system; DOT annual inspections.
• Determine service requirements from drivers and communicate to Service Supervisor/Technicians.
• Execute service tickets for management.
• Respond to customer service calls with on-site repairs/replacements when needed.
• Clean and maintain service equipment and shop area.
• Perform a variety of manual tasks, including lifting and handling tires/wheels.
• Report safety issues to management and maintain professional appearance.
