Job summary

Custom Truck One Source is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to diagnose and repair heavy trucks and equipment. You will work on mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems, with emphasis on chassis, PTOs, hydraulics, and emissions components in a fast-paced shop.

You must have a strong safety mindset, a valid driver’s license with CDL preferred, and a background in heavy-truck maintenance. Training and career growth are offered in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred.
• Proven Diesel Mechanic experience on Class 6–8 heavy trucks.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with safety/compliance focus.
• Vocational/technical school grads or military veterans with mechanical training encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic issues using diagnostic software and tooling.
• Repair chassis systems: steering, suspension, braking, and related powertrain components.
• Service emissions systems with emphasis on EGR coolers and valves.
• Install and troubleshoot PTO gearboxes and integrated hydraulic systems (pumps, cylinders, valves, winches).
• Interpret schematics and repair 12V/24V circuits, harnesses, starting/charging systems, and control modules.
