Job summary

Custom Truck One Source (CTOS) is seeking a Heavy Truck Diagnostic & Hydraulics Specialist to diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues in shop or on mobile service calls. You will rebuild chassis systems, service emission systems, and install hydraulic gear in Class 6–8 platforms.

You will read schematics, work with advanced scan tools, and ensure safety and compliance while keeping equipment online.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a diesel tech for heavy trucks.
• Experience reading schematics and diagnosing 12V/24V electrical circuits and ECMs.
• Safety and compliance mindset with a strong mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues using advanced scan tools and software.
• Rebuild and repair chassis systems: steering, suspension, braking, and driveline on Class 6–8 trucks.
• Service emissions systems with emphasis on EGR, coolers, and valves; support DPF/DEF performance.
• Install, configure, and repair PTO gearboxes and integrated hydraulic systems (pumps, valves, cylinders, winches).
• Read schematics to troubleshoot electrical circuits and ECMs.
