Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in risk management, finance, business administration or related field required.
• Minimum 2+ years of underwriting or relevant insurance experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of underwriting principles, guidelines and practices.
• Experience in a broker-focused service environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze risk factors and determine pricing and coverage within delegated authority.
• Review applications, financial statements and reports to assess exposure.
• Apply underwriting guidelines and risk appetite frameworks to support decisions.
• Negotiate terms and pricing with brokers or clients for profitability.
• Collaborate with claims, actuarial and finance to resolve issues.
• Maintain documentation for underwriting decisions and ensure compliance.
• Monitor portfolio performance and identify trends for corrective action.
• Participate in training to stay current on products, regulations, and trends.
