Job summary

Pizza Hut Global has an immediate need for a transactional attorney in Plano, TX who loves pizza, drafting and reviewing commercial contracts, and creative legal problem solving to support critical business initiatives. This attorney will coordinate with and advise various business clients, and may have opportunities to work in additional areas within the legal department.

The role requires a JD from an ABA-accredited law school and 3–5+ years in transactional roles, with strong negotiation,

Qualifications

3–5+ years’ experience in transactional legal roles, either at reputable law firm(s) or on an in-house corporate legal team(s).
In-depth knowledge of and proficiency in corporate transactions and commercial contract negotiation.
Ability to provide practical, strategic legal advice aligned with business objectives.
Strong background in client counseling or other client-facing engagements.

Responsibilities

Ensuring all contracts are aligned with Pizza Hut’s goals and protecting its legal and financial interests.
Managing contract workflow and lifecycle – facilitate contract intake process, select appropriate contract forms and templates for each client engagement, draft contract amendments and routine termination documents, and maintain contract repository for the Pizza Hut brand.
Providing legal partnership, guidance, and proactive risk reduction strategies to the Pizza Hut Global business teams.
Provide ad hoc general transactional legal guidance to Pizza Hut Global corporate teams and business functions.
