Job summary

Bergey’s Commercial Tire in Reading, PA is hiring for a full-time driver to provide secure and timely transportation of products. You will ensure on-time delivery from origin to destination and verify shipment contents.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, valid PA driver’s license, ability to lift 75 pounds, and successful background checks and drug screening. Bergey’s is an Equal Opportunity Employer with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift 75 pounds.
• Successful completion of pre-employment background checks and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Timely transportation of product from origin to destination as assigned.
• Assist in verification of all outgoing and incoming product for accuracy in terms of size, amount and type.
• Collect payments from customers in monetary form acceptable to Company.
• Ensure all administrative paperwork concerning delivery orders required to move with shipments is available for inspection and that appropriate paperwork accompanies delivery.
• Maintain professional representation of the Company in all interactions with customers & through responsible driving.
• Maintain records required for compliance with state and federal regulations, including driver’s logs, fuel purchases, mileage records and other records required by law and Company policy.
• Abide by all Company safety policies and state and federal transportation regulations.
• Occasionally operate powered industrial vehicles (forklift pallet jacks, order pickers, etc.)
• Other tasks as assigned.

Location: Bergey's Commercial Tire, Reading PA

Pay: $19 to $24 / hour based on experience

Summary:
