Job summary

Bergey's Inc. is seeking a part-time delivery driver to transport products securely and on schedule from origin to destination. You will verify outgoing and incoming loads, collect payments, and complete all required paperwork to ensure smooth shipments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Pennsylvania Driver's License with clean driving record.
• Able to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Successful completion of pre-employment background checks and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Timely transportation of product from origin to destination as assigned.
• Assist in verifying all outgoing and incoming product for accuracy (size, amount, type).
• Collect payments from customers in forms acceptable to the company.
• Ensure all delivery-related paperwork is complete and accompanies shipments.
• Maintain professional representation of the company in interactions with customers.
• Maintain records for compliance with state and federal regulations (driver logs, fuel records, mileage).
• Abide by all company safety policies and transportation regulations.
• Occasionally operate powered industrial vehicles (forklifts, pallet jacks).
• Other tasks as assigned.

Location: Bergey's Commercial Tire, Boyertown PA

Pay: $18to $20/ hour based on experience

Shift: Part Time

Summary: To provide secure and timely driving services to transport products.

Essential Duties:

• Timely transportation of product from origin to destination as assigned
• Assist in verification of all outgoing and incoming product for accuracy in terms of size, amount and type
• Collect payments from customers in monetary form acceptable to Company
• Ensure all administrative paperwork concerning delivery orders required to move with shipments is available for inspection and that appropriate paperwork accompanies delivery
• Maintain professional representation of the Company in all interactions with customers & through responsible driving
• Maintain records required for compliance with state and federal regulations, including driver’s logs, records of fuel purchases, mileage records and other records required by law and Company policy
• Abide by all Company safety policies and state and federal transportation regulations
• Occasionally operate powered industrial vehicles (forklift pallet jacks, order pickers, etc.)
• Other tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED (General Education Degree)
• Valid Pennsylvania Driver's License with gooddriving record
• Ability to lift 75 pounds
• Successful completion of pre-employment background checks and drug screening.
