Job summary

Bergey’s Commercial Tire in Boyertown, PA is hiring a Tire Technician to perform repairs and servicing of tires and wheels at customer locations or in our shop. Expect work on light to heavy-duty trucks and potential after-hours assignments, with a goal of safety and efficiency.

Applicants should have a valid driver's license, DOT medical card and TIА certification, with a commitment to safety and quality service. Bergey’s offers a robust benefits package and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Performs tire repairs, replacements & general service to tires and wheels at customer locations, on-road or at shop.
• Mount, dismount, balance, replace and repair commercial truck tires.
• Maintain safe driving record and comply with safety procedures.

• Will be put into rotation for After Hours Road Service Calls.

• Maintain safe driving record and daily maintenance of vehicle/equipment.

Location: Bergey's Commercial Tire, Boyertown PA

Pay: $19 to $22 / hour based on experience

$2,500.00 Sign-On Bonus based on qualifications

Summary:

Perform tire repairs, replacements & general service to tires and wheels at customer's location, on the road or at the shop.

• Raise vehicle with hydraulic jack, use air tools and heavy hand-held tools
• Mount, dismount, balance, replace, and repair commercial truck tires.
• Will be put into rotation for After Hours Road Service Calls
• Repair or replace tires on light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks
• Change truck tires on the roadside, customer yard or shop
• Ability to recognize repairable tires and properly perform repair.
• Communicate all work performed via legible writing on tags, work orders and/or invoices.
• Perform all tasks in a safe and efficient manner. Use all provided safety equipment including seat belts, gloves, jack stands, wheel chocks, safety glasses, and cages.
• Maintain safe driving record
• Perform daily maintenance to vehicle, tools and equipment.
• Maintain professional relationship with customers
• Other tasks as assigned.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

Must possess or be willing to obtain a DOT Medical Card

Must be or willing to get TIA certified (training will be provided)

Valid Driver's License

Successful completion of pre-employment background checks and drug screening
