Job summary

gpac is seeking an experienced Traveling Project Superintendent to lead field operations on ground-up commercial projects nationwide. This role requires traveling across the United States and delivering high-quality finishes from mobilization to turnover.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in commercial construction, can manage multiple trades, read drawings, ensure safety and quality, and communicate effectively with owners and project teams while keeping on schedule and within budget.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of commercial construction experience preferred.
• Proven experience serving as a Lead or Project Superintendent on ground-up commercial projects.
• Strong knowledge of commercial construction methods, sequencing, scheduling, and field operations.
• Experience managing multiple subcontractors and trades on complex projects.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
• Strong understanding of construction safety requirements and quality-control practices.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Ability to identify problems in the field and develop practical solutions.
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with construction management software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all day-to-day field operations from mobilization through project completion.
• Manage subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget.
• Coordinate daily activities and sequencing of multiple trades.
• Develop and maintain project schedules and communicate progress to the Project Manager and leadership team.
• Conduct regular site meetings and coordinate subcontractor activities.
• Monitor workmanship, quality control, safety, and compliance with project specifications.
• Review plans, drawings, specifications, and scopes of work to identify potential conflicts or issues.
• Coordinate inspections and ensure work meets applicable codes and project requirements.
• Work closely with the Project Manager, architects, owners, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders.
• Track and communicate project progress, schedule changes, delays, and field issues.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized jobsite.
• Help resolve field conflicts and provide solutions to keep the project moving forward.
• Ensure projects are completed with a high level of attention to detail and finish quality.
• Assist with project closeout, punch lists, inspections, and turnover.

Our client is seeking an experienced Project Superintendent to serve as the lead field superintendent on commercial construction projects throughout the United States. Travel Requirements
