Job summary

gpac is seeking an experienced Traveling Superintendent to oversee on-site construction operations for large-scale commercial projects in the United States. You will supervise all field activities, manage subcontractors, and ensure safety, schedule, budget, and quality are met on every site.

Projects include hotels, casinos, healthcare facilities, schools, and high-rise developments with values from 30M to 200M+.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience as a Superintendent in large-scale commercial construction.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and maintain site efficiency.
• Proficient with computers and construction management software.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and instructions.
• valid driver's license and US work authorization.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively.

Responsibilities

• Maintain project schedules and construction budgets.
• Coordinate with owners and stakeholders regarding required documentation and permits.
• Ensure safety practices are followed on-site and supervise field personnel.
• Lead and supervise subcontractors and field teams.
• Represent the company in meetings with owners, architects, inspectors, and subs.
• Use company software for daily reports, expenses, site docs, time entry, and emails.
• Mentor and train upcoming field personnel and future superintendents.

Project values typically range from $30M-$200M+.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain project schedules and construction budgets
• Coordinate with owners and stakeholders regarding required documentation, including:
• Work permits
• Preconstruction risk assessments
• Infection control risk assessments
• Safety documentation
• Ensure all safety practices and procedures are followed on-site
• Lead and supervise subcontractors and field personnel
• Represent the company professionally during meetings with:
• Owners
• Architects
• Inspectors
• Subcontractors
• Utilize company software and technology for:
• Daily reports
• Expense approvals
• Site documentation
• Time entry
• Email communication
• Progress tracking
• Communicate regularly with leadership and project management teams regarding:
• Productivity
• Scheduling
• Quality control
• Site requirements
• Mentor and train upcoming field personnel and future superintendents
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Field Operations Director

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience as a Superintendent in large-scale commercial construction preferred
• Strong leadership and communication skills
