Job Description
The Superintendent's Responsibilities
- Lead all field operations from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards.
- Manage project schedules, sequencing, staffing, and critical path activities while developing recovery plans to address delays.
- Oversee subcontractors and field teams, coordinating daily activities to maintain productivity and project milestones.
- Enforce company safety programs, OSHA standards, and environmental compliance to maintain a safe jobsite.
- Implement quality control procedures and inspect work to ensure compliance with contract documents and specifications.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, architects, engineers, inspectors, and trade partners.
- Prepare daily reports, lead weekly safety and coordination meetings, and maintain accurate project documentation.
- Monitor procurement, project logs, and field drawings to ensure efficient project execution.
- Drive pre-planning, coordination, and continuous process improvements to enhance quality, safety, and efficiency.
- Manage punch lists and closeout activities to ensure a smooth project turnover.

The Successful Applicant
The Successful Superintendent
- 5-7+ years of lead Site Superintendent experience
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or related field
- OSHA 30 certificate or ability to attain it within 12 months of hire.
- Experience with education projects
- Experience with master scheduling
- Proficient in MS Office Platforms and Procore
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to influence, negotiate and drive project schedules
- Knowledge of all elements of commercial construction and understanding of skilled trades.
