American Companies is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead day-to-day field operations on commercial projects. You will manage subcontractors, schedules, safety, and quality to ensure work is completed on time and per plans.

You’ll collaborate with Project Managers, vendors, and trades, maintain daily reports, and help control costs while upholding safety and company standards.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Construction Superintendent or similar field leadership role.
• Experience in commercial construction projects.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings.
• Proven ability to coordinate subcontractors and manage multiple jobsite activities.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills; safety-focused.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate materials, equipment, manpower, and site logistics.
• Communicate progress and issues with Project Managers.
• Maintain accurate daily reports and project documentation.
• Help control project costs by minimizing rework and delays.
• Ensure construction activities are completed according to plans, specifications, schedules, and company standards.

Lead Commercial Construction Projects from Groundbreaking to Completion

American Companies is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee day-to-day field operations on commercial construction projects. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who knows how to manage subcontractors, maintain schedules, enforce safety standards, and make sure work is completed correctly and efficiently.

You'll work closely with Project Managers, subcontractors, vendors, and other construction professionals to keep projects moving safely, on schedule, and according to plans and specifications.

What You’ll Do

Construction Superintendent – Commercial Construction

• Oversee daily commercial construction jobsite operations from start to completion
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, deliveries, and field activities
• Review and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, plans, and specifications
• Monitor project schedules, sequencing, and milestones to keep work on track
• Identify and resolve jobsite issues before they affect schedule, cost, or quality
• Enforce OSHA safety standards and maintain a safe, organized jobsite
• Perform quality control inspections and ensure work meets project specifications

• Communicate regularly with Project Managers regarding jobsite progress and issues
• Maintain accurate daily reports, jobsite records, schedules, and project documentation

What We’re Looking For

• Experience as a Construction Superintendent, Site Superintendent, Construction Supervisor, or similar field leadership role
• Experience in commercial construction
• Strong understanding of construction processes, scheduling, and jobsite coordination
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and specifications
• Experience coordinating subcontractors and managing multiple jobsite activities
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of jobsite operations
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, productivity, and professionalism
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in an active construction environment
