Overhead Door Company of Des Moines, a DH Pace Company, Inc., is hiring a Commercial Door Installer. The role involves installing a variety of commercial doors and hardware while delivering top‑notch service and safety compliance.

You will work with a collaborative team, follow company standards, and participate in a comprehensive training program designed to build a long-term career with DH Pace. This is a full‑time on‑site position located in Des Moines, IA.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand/power tools.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Install commercial doors including sectional, rolling, and specialty doors.
• Ensure installations meet safety standards and company guidelines.
• Collaborate with teammates to meet installation goals and deadlines.
• Provide excellent customer service and address client inquiries during installations.
• Maintain and inspect tools/equipment for safety and efficiency.
• Document installation activities and site conditions.

• Install commercial doors including sectional doors, rolling steel doors, and specialty doors.
• Ensure all installations are completed according to company standards and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve installation goals and deadlines.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns during installations.
• Maintain tools and equipment to ensure operational safety and efficiency.
• Document and report installation activities and site conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Basic mechanical skills and proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work at heights.
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
• Previous experience in construction or a related field is a plus, but not required.

Job Responsibilities

• Install and/or repair a wide range of commercial door and door hardware including roll up doors also known as dock doors, dock equipment, high speed rolling doors and commercial entry doors
• Identify opportunities to provide customers with products and services
• Operate in safety conscious manner at all times while performing job duties
• Other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED (Preferred)
• Experience in a similar role or one that required a mechanical aptitude preferred
• Ability to safely lift up to 100 pounds
• Ability to work at heights and use a ladder
• Must possess valid driver’s license and good driving record
