Responsibilities

The selected candidate will work as an Electrical Service / UPS installation Systems Technician for M.C. Dean’s Service & National Accounts Group. This group operates 24/7 - 365 to support our customers and is known for providing The Ultimate Customer Experience. We offer world-class support and training, fostering a family-oriented culture focused on customer satisfaction, quality, and safety.

This is a regional service position requiring regular travel across the United States. Responsibilities include electrical installations of UPS systems, servicing basic electrical equipment and systems according to plans, specifications, and codes. The role involves resolving customer electrical issues professionally and safely, maintaining a professional appearance at all times.

• Assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining electrical or electronic wiring, conduit, cable, equipment, components, and devices related to electrical systems, based on blueprints and building plans.
• Installing, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining EMS systems, smart breakers, electronic controls, devices, panels, sensors, and components.
• Inspecting installation sites and reviewing work orders, plans, and manuals to determine material needs and procedures.
• Testing electrical systems and circuit continuity using appropriate devices.
• Diagnosing malfunctions using test equipment and tools, locating causes, and correcting issues.
• Training and supervising workers in installing, maintaining, or repairing electrical systems.
• This position requires 60% travel across the U.S.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED with at least 5+ years of experience in the electrical service industry, specifically with UPS systems installation.

Candidate Expectations

• Pass a background check and drug test.
• Possess an acceptable driving record for possible use of a company vehicle.
• Excellent knowledge of electrical tools and testing equipment.
• Comfortable using smart devices and web applications.
• Committed to high-quality work and safety standards.
• Appropriate attire including OSHA-approved boots and shirts covering shoulders.
• Reliable attendance and teamwork skills.

Desired / Advantageous Qualifications

• Journeyman's license or equivalent.
• Additional certifications like Lift and Aerial Training, NFPA 70E, OSHA 30, UPS installation experience.
