Job summary

IT Landes Company, LLC is seeking a Commercial HVAC Service Technician to join our employee-owned team. The role focuses on diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining commercial HVAC systems while delivering trusted advisory services to our customers.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of theory, methods, practices, tools, and equipment of HVAC trade.
• Minimum 3 years of HVAC industry experience.
• Must possess own basic hand tools.
• Ability to read, understand, and work from specifications and drawings.
• Ability to lift/move heavy objects and work on-call.
• Familiarity with rooftop units, cooling towers, chillers, heat pumps, hydronic systems, gas furnaces & boilers.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot HVAC equipment and replace defective parts.
• Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment to verify proper operation and identify potential issues.
• Advise customers on repairs and upgrades with rationale and pricing.
• Explain pricing, value, and advantages of recommended repairs/upgrades.
• Build strong customer relationships and understand existing and new customer needs.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED FOR THE JOB:

• Troubleshoot HVAC equipment and systems that are not working and replace parts that are defective.
• Perform preventive maintenance on all types of HVAC equipment to verify proper. current operation and to watch for potential problems on behalf of our customers.
• Act as a trusted adviser to recommend appropriate repairs and upgrades to our customers.
• Discuss pricing, value, and advantages of recommended appropriate repairs and upgrades.
• Build strong customer relationships and build knowledge and understanding of new and existing customer needs/expectations.
• Perform related work as assigned.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

• Knowledge of the theory, methods, practices, tools, and equipment of the trade.
• 3 yrs. experience specific to the HVAC industry.
• Possess your own basic hand tools.
• Ability to read, understand, and work from specifications and drawings.
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach, or stand, lift and move heavy objects.
• Ability to work on-call.
• Knowledge of the following: Roof top unit Cooling tower Chillers Heat Pumps Air conditioners Hydronic systems Geothermal units Gas Furnaces & gas boilers Oil furnaces and oil boilers
