Reliant Mechanical seeks a Commercial Service and Refrigeration Technician to install, maintain, and repair commercial refrigeration systems. You will read blueprints, schematics, and manuals, and communicate effectively with clients.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• EPA 608 Certification.
• Minimum of 3 years of commercial refrigeration experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and testing equipment.
• Previous installation and controls experience.
• OSHA 10 and EPA Universal certifications (or willingness to obtain).
• Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with clients.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Installation and Repair: Install, diagnose, and repair various commercial/industrial refrigeration and freezer units, ice machines, and related equipment.
• Maintenance: Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure systems operate efficiently and to prevent breakdowns.
• Diagnostics: Test malfunctioning systems and components, such as coils, valves, and controls, using specialized tools and electrical/mechanical skills.
• System Adjustments: Flushes, recharges, and adjusts refrigeration units and systems with the proper refrigerant.
• Component Replacement: Replace defective parts like compressors, motors, circuit boards, and other electronic and mechanical components.
• Record Keeping: Maintain legible and accurate records of all service calls, repairs, and maintenance performed.
• Compliance: Ensure all work complies with safety standards and environmental regulations, including proper handling and disposal of refrigerants.
• Customer Interaction: Provide customer service and communicate with clients about service needs and equipment issues.
