LearnTastic is seeking a skilled Commercial Refrigeration Service Technician to install, maintain, and repair large-scale cooling systems for commercial environments. The ideal candidate will troubleshoot compressors, condensers, evaporators, and control systems, read diagrams, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance while meeting project deadlines.

This role emphasizes teamwork, strong problem-solving, and diligent record-keeping to maintain uptime for customers in the Denton area.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Commercial Refrigeration Technician or in a similar role.
• Technical certification or diploma in refrigeration, HVAC, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of commercial refrigeration systems and components.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex systems and resolve issues efficiently.
• Familiarity with safety standards, codes, and environmental regulations.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, and maintain commercial refrigeration systems including walk-in coolers/freezers, display cases, and rack systems.
• Diagnose faults and perform repairs on compressors, condensers, evaporators, expansion valves, and control systems.
• Monitor system performance to ensure optimal efficiency and temperature control.
• Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
• Handle refrigerants in compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
• Maintain accurate service logs, work orders, and compliance documentation.
• Respond to emergency service calls and troubleshoot system failures promptly.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion.
