Job summary

Vector Security is seeking a Commercial Sales Representative to drive bookings and recurring revenue with commercial customers in the Lancaster area and beyond. The role involves presenting integrated security solutions, cultivating relationships, and managing proposals end-to-end.

Ideal candidates will have proven B2B sales success, strong prospecting, presentation, and closing skills, and a valid driver’s license for client visits.

Responsibilities

• Sell Vector’s commercial security solutions and achieve bookings, recurring revenue, and profit targets.
• Maintain in-depth product knowledge through training and certifications; educate customers on video, intrusion, access control, and fire alarm systems.
• Generate and manage proposals; maintain a pipeline at least 4x monthly quotas; track all proposals in CRM.
• Collaborate with design team and branch operations to define scope for large commercial installations.
• Develop strategies to market products to new customers and identify new market segments.
• Monitor competitive landscape including pricing, products, and delivery schedules.

SUMMARY:

As a Commercial Sales Representative, you will be responsible for achieving bookings and recurring revenue quotas, prospecting, presenting products , services and solutions to commercial customers and ensuring proper documentation (often electronic) for sales agreements and proposals . C ommercial representatives are expected to cultivate ongoing business with existing customers and secure new large commercial clients .

What You’ll Do:

• Responsible for selling Vector’s commercial solutions and achieving bookings , recurring revenue and profit margin targets by proactively scheduling sales appointments with current and prospective commercial customers and ensuring offerings meet the needs of both Vector and the potential customer .
• Maintains in-depth product knowledge via ongoing training and required certifications. Educate customers about various commercial solutions including but not limited to video, intrusion, access control, and fire alarm systems.
• Continuously generates commercial proposals andmaintainsa viablepipeline equal to at least 4 times monthly sales quotas. All proposals are tracked in the company’s CRM platform for management visibility.
• Works closely with commercial system design team and branch operations to ensure proper scope is defined for large commercial installations.
• Create strategies to market products to new consumers, includingidentifyingnew target market segments/opportunities.
• Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.

What You’ll Need:

Prospecting Skills:

• In order to expand our commercial business, it is important that Commercial sales r epresentatives be able to build new relationships and generate new logos for the company. This can be done via a variety of methods including leveraging Linkedin , social media, networking, working “Dodge” type reports, etc.
• Proven success in self-gen activities.
• Demonstrated success in previous sales positions.
• Presentation Skills:
  
  • Ability to present complex integrated solutions thatare common in Large Commercial environment.
• Closing Skills:
  • Must be able to close commercial proposals at a rate deemed acceptable by management , overcome objections , have strong negotiation skills.
• Valid driver's license required to drive to customer locations.
