Gilder Search Group is seeking an experienced Commercial Roofing Project Superintendent to oversee field operations for commercial roofing projects from pre-construction through completion.

This hands-on leadership role coordinates crews, subcontractors, materials, equipment, and schedules, ensuring safety, efficiency, on-time delivery, and top-quality results across Scott, Louisiana region.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial roofing experience.
• Experience supervising roofing foremen, field crews, and/or subcontractors.
• Knowledge of commercial roofing systems, installation methods, and quality-control standards.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
• Strong planning, leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to anticipate jobsite challenges and proactively resolve issues.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise roofing foremen, field crews, and subcontractors.
• Pre-plan projects by reviewing plans, schedules, labor requirements, materials, equipment, and deliveries.
• Monitor production, labor hours, job progress, material usage, and overall project performance.
• Conduct jobsite quality-control inspections and ensure work meets project specifications and manufacturer requirements.
• Maintain a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
• Serve as a primary field contact for customers and provide ongoing project updates.
• Complete daily project reports, photos, documentation, and required paperwork.
• Partner closely with Project Managers, Estimators, Operations, and vendors to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
• Participate in manufacturer inspections, project closeouts, and warranty turnover.
• Mentor and develop foremen and field personnel while maintaining accountability and productivity.

Location: Scott, Louisiana
Salary: $75,000–$90,000 annually, based on experience
Travel: Regional travel required

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Roofing Project Superintendent to oversee field operations for commercial roofing projects from pre-construction through completion.

This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for coordinating crews, subcontractors, materials, equipment, and project schedules while ensuring jobs are completed safely, efficiently, on time, and to the highest quality standards.

The position is based in Scott, Louisiana and requires regional travel to active project sites.

• Strong planning, leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to anticipate jobsite challenges and proactively resolve issues.
• Knowledge of OSHA requirements and commercial roofing safety practices.
• Microsoft Office proficiency required; experience with construction management software is a plus.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Willingness to travel regionally to active project sites.
