Job summary

Tecta America Commercial Roofing in Baltimore seeks a seasoned Superintendent to lead commercial roofing crews and subcontractors. You will enforce safety, read blueprints, manage field processes and coordinate with clients to meet schedules and budgets.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of roofing supervision experience, travel readiness across job sites, and strong communication skills in English (Spanish a plus).

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Commercial Roofing supervision experience.
• Experience with various roofing systems (single-ply, torch, hot rubberized asphalt, metal, coatings).
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Ability to travel to multiple job sites and manage crews.

Job Functions

• Manage and supervise commercial roofing crews and subcontractors.
• Read and understand project field manuals of various roofing systems and manufacturers.
• Ensures company safety procedures are implemented and followed.
• Attends and participates in project meetings.
• Establish / maintain lines of communication with external and internal customers (GC's, Building Owners, Owners Representatives, Consultants, Project Managers, Estimators, etc).
• Ensure projects are completed in the most efficient manner to meet project schedules and budgets.
• Ensures customer expectations are met or exceeded.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience (Requirements)

• 5+ years of Commercial Roofing experience.
• Experience with various Commercial Roofing systems (i.e.- single -ply, torch, hot rubberized asphalt, metal, coatings, etc).
• Strong interpersonal skills; oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints / shop drawings.
• Ability to multitask on various tasks in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to travel to and manage multiple job sites.
• Computer literate in Outlook and Excel preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Working Conditions

Physical surroundings: Field environment with exposure to heights, noise and temperature. Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions, both hot and cold and in windy conditions.
