Job summary

Empire Roofing a Tecta America Company in Tennessee is seeking an experienced Commercial Roofing Service Technician. The role involves investigating, locating, and repairing leaks across EPDM, PVC, TPO, BUR, and other roofing systems, while upholding safety and craftsmanship at customer sites.

The position offers entry to experienced pay starting at $21+ per hour based on BOE, with local travel and opportunities to train the right candidate. Bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Experience with multiple commercial roofing systems preferred but not required, we are willing to train the right individual.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly.
• Ability to work at varying heights and in a variety of weather conditions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, supervisors, and coworkers.
• Strong initiative, integrity, and adaptability.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Technology savvy and comfortable completing electronic paperwork/documentation.

Responsibilities

• Remove, repair, and install BUR, Modified Bitumen, TPO, EPDM, PVC, and tile/shingle roofs.
• Perform roof maintenance, inspections, leak investigations, and repairs.
• Identify leak sources and select repair solutions.
• Work per job specs, company standards, and safety rules.
• Maintain professional interaction with customers and coworkers.
• Complete required paperwork and service records.
• Attend meetings as needed.
• Help train crew members.
• Keep a clean, safe work area.
• Represent Empire Roofing and Tecta America at customer sites.

Commercial Roofing Service Technician Summary The Commercial Roofing Service Technician will be responsible for investigating, locating, and repairing leaks and defects in a variety of commercial roofing systems, including EPDM, PVC, TPO, Built-Up Roofing, Modified Bitumen, and low-slope metal roofing. This position requires an experienced roofing professional who can complete service and repair work safely, efficiently, and with a high level of craftsmanship while maintaining professional relationships with customers and coworkers.

Commercial Roofing Service Technician Responsibilities

• Remove, repair, and install various commercial roofing systems, including BUR, Modified Bitumen, TPO, EPDM, PVC, and sloped roofing systems such as tile and shingles.
• Perform commercial roof maintenance, inspections, leak investigations, and repairs.
• Identify the source of roof leaks and determine the appropriate repair solution.
• Perform work in accordance with job specifications, company standards, and safety guidelines.
• Maintain professional interaction with customers, supervisors, and coworkers.
• Complete required paperwork and service documentation.
• Attend meetings as necessary.
• Assist with training crew members and less-experienced employees as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Represent Empire Roofing and Tecta America professionally while working at customer locations.

Working Conditions

• Physical Surroundings: Field environment with exposure to heights, noise, outdoor conditions, and varying temperatures.
• Physical Effort: Extensive standing, walking, climbing ladders, bending, kneeling, and working on roofs. Frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds.
• Travel: Primarily local travel, generally within approximately 1 hour of the assigned location.
