Job summary

Texas Roof Management Inc. seeks a Commercial Service Estimator for our Dallas, TX area. The role covers estimating for all major commercial roofing systems, coordinating with staff and customers, and driving accurate bids through to invoicing.

The successful candidate will read drawings, generate scopes of work, manage multiple bids, and maintain strong client relationships. This full-time position requires a proactive, detail oriented team player who can handle after-hours communication.

• 3-5 years of Service estimating experience with all commercial roofing systems

• Proficient with Excel, Word, Bluebeam; Dataforma preferred
• Thorough, detail oriented with quality control for bids and documents

Job description

We are seeking a skilled Commercial Service Estimator with experience with all major commercial roofing systems including, but not limited to: Mod-Bit, BUR, TPO, PVC, EPDM, and SSMR. This is a fulltime position based in Dallas, Texas.

Responsibilities:

• Direct communication with staff, management, customers, consultants, and vendors
• Knowledge of various roof systems, material, and construction processes
• Build and develop productive working relationships with Service Manager, Service Superintendent, and Service Coordinator.
• Ability to understand complex situations and create effective solutions for our clients
• Maintain Dataforma during bidding process and all the way through completion of project to invoicing.
• Manage all Service projects sold.
• Understand safety as it relates to appropriate consideration in pricing repair scopes
• Follow-up on outstanding bids as to disposition, timing, whether new bid information is needed, etc.
• Participate in marketing events and activities as requested.
• Thorough and accurate estimating for all types of service and repair work.
• Ability to read and understand project drawings/specifications and generate scope of work based on findings.
• Maintain organized and consistent filing and bidding processes.
• Maintain and grow customer relationships.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of Service estimating experience with all commercial roofing systems

• Must be able to physically access roofs for accurate review of roof for inspections, and assessing repairs required
• Ability and recognition that bidding volume may require additional hours of work beyond 40 hours/week and may include answering calls/emails afterhours.
• Good communication skills (Verbal and Electronic)
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Bluebeam and preferably Dataforma
• Thorough and detail oriented with quality control processes to ensure high-quality bids and related documents
• Good time management skills
