Job summary

Roof Systems of Maine, a Tecta America Company, seeks a full-time Project Manager in Bangor, ME to lead estimating, scheduling and cradle-to-grave project execution. You will ensure work aligns with plans, specs and company policies while upholding safety and cost control.

This role reports to the Operating Unit President and involves visiting job sites about half the time. Requires 3+ years in roofing or construction, strong planning, proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; college preferred (Construction Management).
• Minimum three (3) years of roofing or construction industry experience.
• Critical skills include planning & organizing; problem identification/resolution; follow-through and sense of urgency.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must have a valid driver's license; able to visit job sites about 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Understand the contract to ensure the Company’s responsibilities and scope.
• Capture deviations from specifications related to scope, contract and schedule.
• Generate estimates from blueprints, specs, field notes and inspections.
• Collect information for accurate customer pricing (inspections, measurements, photos, sketches).
• Submit proposals to customers and communicate with owners, architects, engineers and contractors.
• Attend/conduct weekly meetings with project start-up, pre-bid and progress meetings.
• Prepare project budgets, submittals, equipment needs, purchase orders, material lists and manpower plans.
• Handle safety issues and perform pre-job safety analyses.
• Monitor costs against estimates and change orders; manage closeouts and warranty documents.
• Execute contracts with subcontractors and generate month-end WIP and cost-to-complete reports.
