You will conduct detailed inspections of diverse roofing systems, document findings with photos, and provide professional recommendations to customers and internal teams.

The role requires strong troubleshooting, communication, and the ability to work independently while adhering to safety standards and quality expectations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed inspections of commercial roofing systems to identify leaks, storm damage, defects, deterioration, and maintenance concerns.
• Evaluate roof conditions and prepare accurate inspection reports with photos and documentation.
• Inspect and assess TPO, EPDM, PVC, Modified Bitumen, BUR, and metal roofing systems.
• Perform roof condition assessments and moisture investigations as needed.
• Identify repair requirements and provide recommendations for corrective action.
• Communicate findings clearly with Project Managers, Property Managers, Facility Managers, and customers.
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and field documentation.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies, OSHA regulations, and customer requirements.
• Travel to commercial properties and job sites as required.

Position Overview

Jolly Roofing & Contracting Co., LLC is seeking an experienced and motivated Commercial Roofing Inspector / Technician to join our growing team. This position is ideal for a roofing professional with strong technical knowledge, exceptional attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering outstanding service to customers.

The Commercial Roofing Inspector / Technician is responsible for performing comprehensive roof inspections, identifying deficiencies and maintenance needs, documenting findings, and providing professional recommendations to customers and internal teams. The successful candidate will have experience with a variety of commercial roofing systems and the ability to work independently while maintaining the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and quality.

Essential Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed inspections of commercial roofing systems to identify leaks, storm damage, defects, deterioration, and maintenance concerns.
• Evaluate roof conditions and prepare accurate inspection reports, including photographs and supporting documentation.
• Inspect and assess a variety of commercial roofing systems, including:
  • TPO
  • EPDM
  • PVC
  • Modified Bitumen
  • Built-Up Roofing (BUR)
  • Metal Roofing Systems
• Perform roof condition assessments and moisture investigations as needed.
• Identify repair and maintenance requirements and provide recommendations for corrective action.
• Communicate inspection findings clearly and professionally with Project Managers, Property Managers, Facility Managers, and customers.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Experience working with commercial roofing systems, including TPO, EPDM, PVC, Modified Bitumen, BUR, and metal roofing.
• Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to identify roofing deficiencies, leak sources, and maintenance concerns.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time and responsibilities.
• Proficiency with mobile technology, email, and basic computer software.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience performing commercial roof inspections and condition assessments.
• Knowledge of roofing industry standards and best practices.
• OSHA safety training or certification.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to climb ladders and safely access commercial rooftops.
• Ability to walk and inspect roof surfaces for extended periods.
• Ability to work at heights and in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to lift and carry tools, equipment, and materials as needed.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment and comply with all safety requirements.
