Progressive Roofing in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Commercial Roofing Foreman to supervise roofing crews on commercial projects and lead on-site operations. You will ensure safety, quality, and timely completion while coordinating with project managers, clients, and field personnel.

The role requires 5+ years in commercial roofing with supervisory experience, knowledge of various systems, and strong communication skills to manage crews and crews’ safety.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily activities of roofing crew on commercial projects (flat, metal, TPO, EPDM, modified bitumen, etc.).
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and work orders.
• Plan and coordinate work to ensure efficient use of labor, materials, and equipment.
• Conduct daily toolbox talks and safety meetings.
• Train and mentor roofing team members, including new hires.
• Inspect work in progress to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to specifications.
• Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and management.
• Document project progress, incidents, and change orders.
• Monitor and manage material inventory and tool use.
• Resolve on-site issues and make real-time decisions to keep projects moving.

Description

The Commercial Roofing Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of roofing crews on commercial projects. This position ensures that work is completed safely, on time, and in accordance with specifications and quality standards. The Foreman serves as the main on-site leader, liaising between project managers, clients, and field employees.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily activities of roofing crew on commercial roofing projects (flat, metal, TPO, EPDM, modified bitumen, etc.)
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards
• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and work orders
• Plan and coordinate work to ensure efficient use of labor, materials, and equipment

• Ability to read blueprints and technical documents
• Proficient in job site safety procedures and OSHA regulations
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to work at heights and in variable weather conditions

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift 50+ pounds
• Capable of climbing ladders, scaffolding, and working at heights for extended periods
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination
