Heidler Roofing is seeking an experienced Commercial Roofing Estimator to join our team in Hagerstown, MD. The role focuses on accurate cost estimation for commercial roofing projects, collaboration with project managers and clients, and ensuring projects stay within budget.

The ideal candidate will have roofing estimates experience, proficiency with EDGE software and Excel, and strong analytical skills. This full-time position offers benefits and in-state travel as needed.

Qualifications

Experience in construction estimating, particularly roofing projects.
Proficiency in EDGE estimating software and Microsoft Office.
Strong analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for team collaboration.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough assessments of commercial roofing projects, including site visits, measurement analysis, and evaluation of existing conditions.
Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for materials, labor, safety requirements, equipment, and other project expenses.
Work with suppliers to select appropriate roofing materials based on budget and performance requirements.
Prepare comprehensive bid proposals with cost breakdowns, timelines, and scope of work documents.
Communicate with clients, architects, engineers, and project managers to clarify requirements and provide guidance throughout estimation.
Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies for each project.
Assist in developing and managing project budgets and change orders.
Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and field staff to ensure coordination.
