Job summary

Tecta America East LLC – Jessup Location is seeking a Commercial Roofing Estimator in Jessup, MD to prepare and submit project estimates for commercial roofing, waterproofing and sheet metal work. You will review plans and specs, secure vendor pricing, analyze labor needs, and craft competitive bid letters.

Responsibilities include developing prequalification packages, collecting subcontractor bids, and maintaining relationships to expand the bidding pool.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; college degree a plus.
• Minimum of 3 years of commercial roofing estimating experience.

Responsibilities

• Produces project estimates for commercial roofing, waterproofing, and sheet metal projects.
• Estimates job costs and submits proposals for review.
• Tracks submitted bid proposals, provides best and final offers, and negotiates as required to achieve a high project award rate.
• Reviews and approves proposals and contracts to verify they do not exceed scope or policy.
• Develops detailed prequalification and technical proposal packages.
• Gathers and incorporates subcontractor bids into bid proposals.
• Develop and maintain relationships to broaden bidding pool.
• Attend trade events and seminars to develop industry relationships.
