Job summary

Job description

We are looking for a Commercial Roofing Estimator to join our team. In this role, you will be in charge of figuring out how much roofing projects will cost and helping us win new jobs. If you know commercial roofs inside and out and enjoy putting together accurate quotes, we want you to join our estimation team.

What You Will Do

• Review Project Plans: Look at blueprints and drawings to figure out exactly what materials and labor are needed for a job.
• Visit Job Sites: Travel to local sites in SE Michigan to take measurements and inspect existing roof conditions.
• Create Accurate Quotes: Put together clear, detailed price estimates for our clients so they know exactly what they are paying for.
• Work with Other Departments: Communicate with the sales and construction teams to make sure everyone is on the same page before a project starts.

What You Need

• Experience: At least 3 to 5 years of experience estimating commercial roofs (like flat roofs, TPO, EPDM, and metal).
• Blueprint Reading: The ability to easily read and understand construction drawings.
• Computer Skills: Comfortable using basic computer programs and estimating software. (Adobe, MS Office, etc)
• Local Travel: A valid driver's license and a clean driving record to visit job sites around Southeast Michigan.
• Clear Communication: The ability to explain costs and technical details simply and clearly to both clients and coworkers.
