Job summary

AllSearch Professional Staffing, Inc. is seeking a Commercial Renovation Estimator for a Tallahassee, FL portfolio, to support preconstruction with accurate, competitive estimates for commercial renovations.

This role requires close collaboration with leadership, management, subcontractors, and clients. Responsibilities include detailed quantity takeoffs, site condition evaluations, reviewing plans and specs, subcontractor proposals, budgets, and client proposals.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial construction estimating experience.
• Ability to read and interpret commercial construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Knowledge of Florida Building Codes as they relate to commercial renovation projects.
• Experience estimating renovation/occupied facility projects.
• Willingness to travel for day trips to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and complete cost estimates for commercial renovation projects.
• Conduct site visits to evaluate existing conditions, project scope, and construction constraints.
• Review plans, specs, and documents to determine labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Solicit, review, compare, and level subcontractor and vendor proposals.
• Develop detailed budgets, scopes, and client proposals.
• Coordinate with project management teams to support turnover and buyout.
• Ensure estimates align with Florida Building Codes and project requirements.
• Analyze risks and renovation challenges within occupied facilities.
• Maintain pricing databases and subcontractor relationships.
• Support value engineering and cost-saving initiatives during preconstruction.
