Job summary

UMB Financial Corporation in Denver seeks an experienced commercial banking professional to manage a mid to large portfolio with a focus on deepening client relationships and credit underwriting. You will drive revenue growth by prospecting new opportunities within existing accounts and coordinating with senior management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • 8 years commercial banking or lending experience including credit underwriting.
  • Demonstrates expert knowledge of credit and understanding of underwriting.
  • Demonstrates strong financial acumen.
  • Demonstrates expert knowledge and understanding in how to identify and process maturing loans, line renewals, term loans that need to be extended, how loans can be restructured, approval process, change terms, etc.
  • Demonstrates ability to interpret policies/procedures, loan contracts, and understanding of credit reports, financial statements and loan documents.
  • Demonstrates ability to be self-starter and show initiative.
  • Demonstrates strong communication skills (verbal & written).
  • Demonstrates proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrates ability to manage time effectively.
  • Ability to prospect and network at various levels within a company.
  • Demonstrates strong analytical skills.

  • Provide recurring customer service to existing and prospective clients, which includes direct contact with customers either through participation in joint sales calls with other officers or direct correspondence with clients.
  • Perform various projects/tasks as needed with an emphasis on maintaining UMB TUCE at all times.
  • Serve as a conduit for all product lines and match client needs with appropriate products.
  • Proactively look for cross‑selling opportunities on bank products.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job description

Position Summary

Compensation

Range: $110,250.00 – $235,810.00. The posted compensation range on this listing represents UMB’s standard for this role, but the actual compensation may vary by geographic location, experience level, and other job‑related factors.
