GENERAL FUNCTION:

Responsible for profitable business development and monitoring the quality of an extensive existing portfolio of companies with annual gross sales of at least $10 million, with a focus on customers with higher revenues (i.e., at least $20 million). Lead and coordinate with One Bank Partners to develop and execute relationship strategies for assigned clients and prospects. Requires strong understanding of credit, commercial products, and financial statement analysis to offer suitable banking solutions (e.g., loans, treasury management, capital markets) based on client needs. Extensive experience working with high-revenue, complex relationships is essential. The role includes soliciting participation in public debt issuance and engaging in community activities.

Maintain accountability for risk by adhering to policies, raising concerns, and ensuring actions promote a positive customer experience. Operate within the Bank's risk appetite by identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Identify and develop profitable new client relationships through centers of influence, existing clients, and referral sources.
  2. Create and implement a business plan to meet financial and qualitative goals.
  3. Collaborate with internal partners to deepen existing relationships and acquire new ones.
  4. Participate in community and industry forums to expand networks and stay informed on trends and practices.
  5. Work with product partners to analyze, evaluate, and develop tailored relationship strategies, balancing bank risk and client needs.
  6. Meet regularly with clients to strengthen trusted advisor relationships and address business needs.
  7. Use consultative selling skills and CRM tools to enhance client experiences and manage pipelines.
  8. Analyze financial data to determine appropriate credit requests.
  9. Monitor client financial performance and industry trends to manage credit exposure and pricing.
  10. Partner with Portfolio Managers and Credit Officers on credit requests, following established guidelines.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

No formal supervisory responsibilities, but guidance is expected for Commercial RM I & II.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Bachelor's or Master's in Business, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • At least 6 years of Commercial Banking experience, with 5 years in sales preferred.
  • Formalized commercial credit training or equivalent experience required.
  • Underwriting experience preferred.
  • Proven partnership with investment bankers for strategic advice.
  • Successful track record in building client business and revenue growth.
  • Strong analytical skills and understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.
  • Knowledge of Commercial, Treasury Management, and financing options.
  • Ability to assess client needs and develop financial solutions.
  • Effective communication skills tailored to different audiences.
  • Ability to build internal partnerships for holistic client solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to create relevant options.
  • Excellent verbal and written negotiation skills.
  • Team-oriented with proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with CRM tools.
  • Willingness to travel regionally/local.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Standard office environment with minimal exposure to environmental factors.
  • Extended screen time.
  • Travel as required.
