Job description

Job Title: Commercial Relationship Manager

Immediately hiring a Commercial Relationship Manager for a healthy bank in the Grand Rapids, Michigan area. This position involves the comprehensive management of existing commercial relationships as well as soliciting new business opportunities with assigned customers and targeted prospects.

Responsibilities
  1. Reach out to assigned customers and targeted prospects to acquire new business.
  2. Serve as the primary advisor for an assigned portfolio of diverse and complex commercial relationships, ensuring high customer satisfaction and retention.
  3. Coordinate with product partners to cross-sell a full range of products and services.
  4. Review and analyze portfolio to reduce risk and enhance profitability.
  5. Facilitate credit requests, including loan structuring, negotiating/pricing, collateral, ensuring adequate loan documentation, and analyzing industry/credit risk.
  6. Resolve customer problems, engaging product experts as needed.
  7. Participate in community and business functions/groups to promote the bank's positive image and establish referral contacts.
  8. Ensure compliance with all bank policies, procedures, regulations, and laws.
  9. Manage a portfolio of commercial relationships.

  • Basic knowledge of commercial products, credit policies, procedures, and terminology.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize calling activities and strategies.
  • Goal-oriented with strong sales skills.
  • Strong strategic, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
