Job summary

CoolSys is hiring a Refrigeration Technician to repair and overhaul commercial refrigeration, HVAC, and related equipment. You will service compressors, pumps, air handling units, and control devices on a range of systems for customers across multiple industries.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, EPA refrigeration certification, 5+ years of experience, and a valid driver’s license. On-call shifts, lifting up to 60 lbs, and prolonged standing are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• EPA refrigeration certification required.
• 5+ years of commercial refrigeration experience.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record required.
• Emergency on-call availability is a basic requirement.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and sit/stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Repair and overhaul refrigeration, heating, and ventilation equipment to meet customer needs.
• Repair and preventive maintenance on refrigeration equipment including compressors, pumps, air handlers, and controls.
• Diagnose equipment malfunctions and document service history.
• Test systems and components to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Maintain records of work performed and tickets/work orders.
• Support by loading/unloading/installing cases and assisting with minor construction tasks.
