Job summary

Liberty Personnel Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced Commercial Refrigeration Technician to join our Chicago-area team. You will diagnose, repair and maintain commercial refrigeration and HVAC systems across a variety of facilities.

The role requires 5+ years of experience, EPA certification, and the ability to work independently. A valid driver’s license and on-site availability are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• EPA certification required.
• 5+ years of commercial refrigeration experience.
• Supermarket or convenience-store refrigeration experience preferred.
• Experience with single systems, rack systems, display cases and walk-ins.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial refrigeration and HVAC equipment.
• Service compressors, pumps, air handlers, condensers, ice machines, furnaces, motors, and controls.
• Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot electrical/mechanical systems.
• Complete installations, startups, minor construction and remodeling projects.
• Maintain accurate service records and job documentation.
• Safely operate a company vehicle and provide emergency/on-call support.
