Job summary

EMI Services, a subsidiary of TechFlow, is seeking a skilled Commercial Appliance Repair Technician to install, maintain, and repair commercial refrigeration systems at Fort Jackson, SC. You will diagnose issues, perform routine preventive maintenance, and ensure safe, efficient operation.

The role requires strong technical abilities in reading schematics, mechanical and electrical fault analysis, and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

Use hand tools, test equipment and follow wiring diagrams and manufacturer's specifications
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and best practices
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently
Proficiency in using maintenance management systems and Microsoft Office
2+ years experience in commercial appliances, food refrigeration systems, and building maintenance
EPA type I and type II
Valid driver’s license compliant with REAL ID Act or willing and able to obtain one
Pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check
U.S. citizenship to obtain and maintain access to military installations

Responsibilities

Install, troubleshoot, and repair refrigeration systems and components
Walk-in coolers, commercial refrigerators, dishwashing machines, disposals and pulpers and other commercial appliances
Perform routine maintenance and inspections of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical
Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and implement effective solutions
Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used
Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations
Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in refrigeration and mechanical technology
Schedule and prioritize maintenance and repair tasks
Conduct regular inspections of the facility to ensure efficient operation and safety compliance
Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
Collaborate with other departments to ensure facility operations run smoothly
Performs other related duties, as assigned
