Job summary

RSI Texas, LLC is seeking a Commercial Refrigeration Service Technician to join our Dallas–Fort Worth team. You’ll troubleshoot, repair, and maintain refrigeration equipment in a fast-paced environment while following safety protocols and working with a supportive, learning-focused team.

The role requires EPA certification, 2–3 years of refrigeration experience, and TDLR registration. On-site duties include travel to customer sites, weekend/on-call availability, and opportunities for career

Qualifications

• Must be EPA certified.
• 2–3 years of refrigeration experience.
• Must be registered with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR).
• Industry certifications such as CFESA, NATE are preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Successful completion of drug screen and criminal background screening.
• Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain refrigeration equipment (reach‑in and walk‑in cases, display cases, ice machines, etc.).
• Read and understand wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Handle R-290 and other refrigerants; brazing and soldering.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, gauges, meters, torches and measuring equipment to perform service.
• Operate a commercial vehicle safely and adhere to company safety requirements.
• Communicate effectively with customers; work independently under pressure and without close supervision.
• Work on‑call nights and weekends when assigned.

Responsibilities Include:

• Troubleshoot, repair, and perform maintenance on refrigeration equipment such as reach‑in and walk‑in units, cooler display cases, ice machines, salad tables, frozen beverage, and beer systems, etc.
• Read and understand wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Handle R-290 and other refrigerants, brazing and soldering.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, gauges, meters, torches and measuring equipment to perform service of the unit.
• Operate a commercial vehicle in a safe manner and adhere to all company safety requirements.
• Effectively communicate with the customer, and work independently under pressure, and without close supervision.
• Work on‑call nights and weekends when assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

• Must be EPA certified.
• 2-3 years of experience with refrigeration
• Must be registered with the Texas Department of Licensing and Registration (TDLR)
• Industry certifications such as CFESA, NATE, and FACTORY are preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Successful completion of drug screen and criminal background screening
• Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record

Physical Requirements:

• Exert up to 150 pounds of force (pulling, pushing, lifting, carrying, etc.) regularly and up to 50-75 pounds of force frequently without assistance.
• Climb and work from 8ft ladder, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, stand, walk, twist, grasp to perform essential job functions.
• Tolerate environmental conditions consisting of extreme heat, cold, noise, vibration, fumes, dust, and poor ventilation.
