Job summary

Lowndes is seeking an experienced Commercial Real Estate Paralegal with 3+ years of law firm experience to join our busy Space Coast offices. This position is based in our Vero Beach, FL office, with the expectation of traveling to our Melbourne office twice per week.

This role supports attorneys through all phases of commercial real estate transactions, including due diligence, document preparation, and closing coordination, while working independently within established practices.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of law firm experience in commercial real estate
• Experience drafting and revising purchase and sale agreements and closing documents
• Ability to manage multiple active matters and maintain transaction timelines

Responsibilities

• Draft and revise commercial purchase and sale agreements, amendments, assignments, and closing documents
• Review title commitments, exceptions, and surveys; prepare title objection letters and curative matters
• Prepare closing statements, escrow schedules, closing checklists, and lender packages
• Coordinate all aspects of commercial closings with lenders, title companies, surveyors, and clients
• Assist with easements, declarations, cost-sharing agreements, and development documents
• Oversee post-closing tasks including recording and title policy follow-up
• Maintain transaction timelines and manage multiple commercial real estate matters

This role supports attorneys through all phases of commercial real estate transactions, including due diligence, document preparation, and closing coordination, while working independently within established practices.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Draft and revise commercial purchase and sale agreements, amendments, assignments, and closing documents
• Review and analyze title commitments, exception documents, and surveys; prepare title objection letters and manage curative matters
• Prepare closing and settlement statements, escrow disbursement schedules, closing checklists, and lender execution packages
• Coordinate all aspects of commercial closings with lenders, title companies, surveyors, and clients
• Assist with drafting and organizing easements, declarations, cost-sharing agreements, access agreements, and development-related documents
• Oversee post-closing tasks, including recording, title policy follow-up, and preparation of closing binders
• Maintain transaction timelines and proactively manage multiple active commercial real estate matters
