Job summary

Legacy Legal Recruiting LLC in NYC seeks a Commercial Real Estate Attorney to manage complex transactions from structuring to closing. You will advise on varied financing matters and draft a range of real estate agreements, coordinating with lenders and counsel to move deals forward.

The role requires a minimum of 5 years CRE experience, active NYS Bar, and offers a hybrid schedule with in-office presence about two days weekly.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of sophisticated commercial real estate transactions from structuring through closing.
• Advise on a broad range of real estate financing transactions including acquisition financings, refinancings, bridge loans, construction loans, mezzanine loans and other debt structures.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial leases, joint venture documents, and related agreements (property mgmt, brokerage, SNDAs).
• Own transaction management by coordinating with clients, lenders, title companies and opposing counsel; ensure timely milestones.
• Create and manage due diligence and closing checklists and assist with closing documentation.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of sophisticated commercial real estate transactions, from initial structuring through closing, including acquisitions and dispositions, title and survey review and resolution, and complex financing matters.
• Advise on a broad range of real estate financing transactions, including acquisition financings, refinancings, bridge loans, construction loans, mezzanine loans, and other debt structures.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial leasing agreements, joint venture documents, and a variety of real estate-related agreements, including property management agreements, brokerage agreements, and SNDAs.
• Take ownership of transaction management by proactively driving deals forward, coordinating with clients, lenders, title companies, and opposing counsel, and ensuring timely execution of all transaction milestones.
• Create, maintain, and manage comprehensive due diligence and closing checklists, prepare closing documentation, and assist with all aspects of the closing process.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of commercial real estate experience, with a demonstrated ability to independently manage complex transactions.
• Strong preference for candidates who can maintain a hybrid schedule, with in-office attendance approximately two days per week.
• Active membership in the New York State Bar is required.
• This is a full-time engagement anticipated to last at least six months, with the potential for extension based on business needs.
