Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Commercial Real Estate Attorney in New Jersey to provide expert legal guidance on transactions, leasing, financing, and risk management. The ideal candidate will draft and negotiate key documents, perform thorough due diligence, and support corporate clients in complex real estate matters.

You will collaborate with a team of attorneys and stakeholders to ensure compliant, client-focused solutions and stay current with evolving laws and regulations.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
• Current license to practice law.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial real estate law.
• Exceptional negotiation and drafting skills.
• Strong research skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on commercial real estate matters including transactions, management, leasing, and financing.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial real estate documents (purchase agreements, leases, financing documents).
• Conduct comprehensive legal research to inform decisions and minimize risk.
• Represent the organization in legal proceedings when necessary.
• Coordinate with attorneys and stakeholders to ensure legality of transactions and acquisitions.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships and protect client interests.
• Keep abreast of legislative changes affecting the company and clients.
• Perform due diligence in contracts, agreements and M&A.

Job Details

1. Provide legal advice and guidance on a wide range of commercial real estate matters, including transactions, property management, leasing, and financing.
2. Draft, review, and negotiate commercial real estate documents, including purchase and sale agreements, lease agreements, and financing documents.
3. Conduct comprehensive legal research related to commercial real estate matters to inform strategic decisions and minimize legal risks.
4. Represent the organization in legal proceedings, if necessary.
5. Coordinate with other attorneys and stakeholders to ensure the legality of commercial transactions and real estate acquisitions.
6. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and their interests are protected.
7. Keep abreast of legislative changes that may affect the company and its clients.
8. Perform due diligence in legal matters concerning contracts, agreements, and mergers and acquisitions.

1. Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
2. A current license to practice law.
3. A minimum of 3 years of experience as a commercial real estate attorney.
4. Proven experience in commercial real estate law, including property law, lease agreements, real estate financing, and acquisitions.
5. Exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to interpret and draft legal documents.
6. Proficiency in legal research and the ability to handle large amounts of data.
7. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a client-centered focus.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
9. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
10. Demonstrated commitment to maintaining confidentiality and exercising discretion.
11. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software for reports, correspondence, and maintaining databases.
