Job summary
Miller Johnson is seeking an Associate with at least two years of commercial real estate experience to join its Real Estate Practice Group in the Grand Rapids Metropolitan Area. The role offers hands-on client interaction and mentorship from experienced attorneys on sophisticated CRE transactions.
The candidate must possess a J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and be admitted to or eligible for admission to the Michigan State Bar.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Admission to the State Bar of Michigan or eligibility for admission in Michigan.
- Minimum of two years of commercial real estate legal practice experience, preferably in a law firm setting.
Responsibilities
- Represent clients in commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, development, and financing.
- Draft, review, and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, leases, easements, and development agreements.
- Conduct and evaluate due diligence including title, survey, zoning, and environmental issues.
- Identify legal and business issues, providing practical recommendations aligned with client objectives.
- Participate in client communications, business development activities, and professional growth initiatives.
