Overview

• The practice represents developers, investors, lenders, REITs, business owners, and hospitality companies in commercial real estate transactions across North Carolina, South Carolina, and beyond.
• The practice regularly advises clients on a broad range of matters including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, development, financing, and complex real estate issues involving various asset classes.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial leases, purchase and sale agreements, financing agreements, easements, loan documents, and other deal documents.
• The role involves conducting and managing due diligence, including title and survey review, and resolving real estate-related issues.
• Associates assist lenders, borrowers, developers, investors, and business owners in sophisticated financing transactions, and manage transactions from contract through closing.
• Requires active membership in good standing with the North Carolina or South Carolina Bar.
• No portable business is required, but candidates should be interested in building a book of business with firm support and resources.
