First Independent Agency in Clinton Township, MI is seeking a Commercial Rater & Account Support Specialist to join our growing commercial insurance team. This full-time onsite role supports producers, quotes with multiple carriers, and moves opportunities from prospect to policy.

You will gain exposure to commercial insurance, carrier relationships, and account management while ensuring accuracy and timely documentation. Remote work is not available.

Qualifications

• Commercial insurance experience is required.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Quote new commercial insurance opportunities using multiple carrier platforms.
• Prepare remarketing submissions and gather information needed for renewal opportunities.
• Work closely with producers to move prospects through the quoting and binding process.
• Compare coverage, pricing, and carrier options to help prepare competitive proposals.
• Communicate with insurance carriers regarding quotes, underwriting questions, and account requirements.
• Follow up on outstanding information and keep opportunities moving forward.
• Assist with certificates, policy changes, endorsements, and other account service needs.
• Maintain accurate client and policy information in the agency management system.
• Help ensure policies are issued and documented accurately and on time.
• Provide general administrative and account support to the commercial team.
