We are seeking a seasoned and proactive Commercial Property Manager with a strong background in managing data warehouse or data center facilities. This role involves overseeing the daily operations, maintenance, and financial performance of commercial properties—ensuring uptime, compliance, and tenant satisfaction across highly technical, mission-critical environments.

You will be responsible for integrating traditional property management duties with the specialized needs of data infrastructure, including facility integrity, power usage, cooling systems, and vendor coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of commercial properties, including data warehouses, logistics hubs, or hybrid-use spaces.
  • Ensure optimal operation of critical infrastructure systems (e.g., HVAC, backup generators, fire suppression, and building management systems).
  • Partner with technical/data teams to maintain environmental controls (temperature, humidity, dust mitigation) to protect sensitive equipment.
  • Oversee property budgets, forecasting, expense tracking, and financial reporting.
  • Manage relationships with vendors, contractors, and third-party service providers to ensure timely, high-quality maintenance and service delivery.
  • Conduct regular property inspections, manage preventative maintenance programs, and handle emergency response coordination.
  • Ensure compliance with local codes, building regulations, lease agreements, and internal operational standards.
  • Negotiate and administer leases, ensuring optimal occupancy and tenant satisfaction.
  • Coordinate capital improvement projects and infrastructure upgrades tailored to data warehouse needs.
  • Maintain security protocols, monitor access control systems, and ensure protection of data-critical spaces.
  • Prepare and present property performance reports to stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Facilities Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial property management, with at least 2 years managing data centers, warehouses, or critical facilities.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, with a focus on those supporting high-tech environments.
  • Experience with lease administration, tenant relations, and asset performance management.
  • Familiarity with critical infrastructure systems (power, cooling, environmental monitoring).
  • Strong budgeting, negotiation, and vendor management skills.
  • Proficiency in property management software and tools (e.g., Yardi, MRI, CMMS platforms).

Preferred:

  • Background in managing industrial, data-heavy, or logistics-focused facilities.
  • Experience supporting 24/7 uptime environments or mission-critical operations.
