Job summary

Murphy Insurance Agency, Inc. seeks a Commercial Lines P&C Placement Specialist to market, negotiate, and place new commercial insurance business with carriers.

You will work with producers, account managers, and underwriting partners to deliver competitive coverage that meets client needs while maintaining carrier relationships. Ideal candidates can be based in Hudson, MA or Groton, MA, or work fully remote from MA, NH, or RI.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years of experience in commercial P&C insurance (agency, broker, or carrier).
• Strong knowledge of commercial lines coverages (GL, Property, Auto, Umbrella, Workers’ Compensation, Professional).
• Active Property & Casualty insurance license.
• Experience with middle market or large account placements.
• Prior experience utilizing Applied EPIC.
• Hybrid, office-based, or remote from MA, NH, or RI.

Responsibilities

• Review new submissions for completeness, quality, and marketability.
• Develop and execute marketing strategies for commercial P&C risks.
• Submit applications to carriers and wholesalers.
• Maintain records in Agency Management System (EPIC).
• Build and maintain strong relationships with insurance carriers and wholesale partners.
• Partner with producers to understand client risk profiles and sales strategies.
• Work with account management teams to ensure seamless handoff after placement.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance on complex risks and coverage structures.
• Work with sales team to prepare comprehensive insurance proposals.
• Review binders, quotes, and policy documents for accuracy.
• Ensure all placements comply with internal and regulatory requirements.

Description The Commercial Lines Property & Casualty (P&C) Placement Specialist is responsible for marketing, negotiating, and placing new commercial insurance business with carriers.
