Acuity is seeking experienced Commercial Production Underwriters to select, price, and manage commercial insurance risks focused on new business for a select group of committed agents while upholding underwriting policies and standards. The role may be filled at Commercial Production Underwriter or Senior Commercial Production Underwriter level depending on experience.

A bachelor’s degree and professional designations (CPCU or CIC) are preferred; salary is $90,000-$150,000 with a comprehensive

Formación

• Minimum of five years of commercial underwriting experience, with at least two years underwriting middle market.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to effectively sell Acuity and build deep relationships.
• Ability to underwrite large, complex commercial lines accounts.

Responsabilidades

• Review submissions for commercial lines of insurance and price according to underwriting standards.
• Engage with assigned agents to solicit new business and strengthen partnerships.
• Inspect risks and make acceptability and pricing decisions.
• Conduct face-to-face visits to sell Acuity.
• Stay current with underwriting policies and industry events.
• Recommend additional coverages to proposals.
• Travel within territory quarterly to generate new business.
• Handle renewals and endorsements as assigned.
• Provide technical guidance to agents and underwriting team.
• Ensure compliant, data-informed underwriting processes.
• Collaborate with distribution, market strategy, actuarial, and claims.
• Attend meetings and maintain regular attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
