Your Role: As a Commercial Pricing Actuarial Consultant, you will be responsible for innovating and refining methods used in insurance rating and loss reserving. Prepare and lead all aspects of the analysis of rate and statistical filings, ensuring these are accurately submitted to regulatory and insurance agencies. Additionally, you may lead sophisticated projects and studies, guiding teams to achieve strategic objectives.
Your work:
Develops and analyzes data related to sophisticated actuarial functions.
Evaluates analytical work done by others and makes decisions and recommendations that take into account internal and external environment.
Follows developing trends of market landscape.
Provides training to Actuarial Analysts 1.
Develops and analyzes new methodologies for insurance rating and loss reserving.
Required Experience, Education and Skills
BA/BS in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science or related area and 7 years of post-bachelor experience performing statistical and actuarial analysis on commercial lines insurance.
Or Graduate degree in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science or related area and 3 years’ experience performing statistical and actuarial analysis on commercial lines insurance.
ACAS (Associate in Casualty Actuarial Society) required.
Have a solid understanding of the market landscape.

Experience pricing captives, fronting arrangements, retro-rated/loss sensitive policies, or other alternative risk transfer arrangements.
Expert-level problem solving and critical thinking skills.
Proven oral and written communication skills, including the ability to give formal presentations.
Proven team leadership ability.
In depth actuarial industry knowledge and knowledge of the insurance marketplace.

Recognition: We offer a total compensation package, performance bonus, 401(k) with a company match, and more! The national average salary range for this position is $144,000-$160,000. However, we have a location-based compensation structure. Our salary ranges vary and are calculated based on county of residence. The full salary range for this position across all the states we hire in is $129,000-$192,000.
